Basic Web Site Cost

 

Starting a Site:

  • Per Page - $50.00 (Standard sized page without complex digital, audio, or video)

  • Web Site Setup,  domain registration and  first year hosting cost - $100.00 

  • Example:  A three page site would cost 3 X $50 & $100=$250.00

No charge for the following - during initial setup:

  • Scanning pictures you provide

  • Making Sideshows out of pictures, documents, signs, etc. (Limit 8 pictures per page)

  • Scanning and inserting documents, articles, plats

  • Making several Maps for your site(s)

  • Picture, Gradient or Textured Web Page Backgrounds

 

Monthly Fees :

 

Maintenance/upkeep/Domain Name/Hosting Cost: (If you have your own host there is no monthly charge)

$8.00 per month per site - Paid yearly  
  • Regular registering of pages with search engines

  • Renew your web address

  • Checking with the Web Service when down

  • Fixing technical problems

  • Hosting Site

  • Domain Name

  • If you want to be on a paid search engine you will be charged based upon the cost to place your site.   The more you pay the higher up the search engine you will be placed.  (Google, MSN, America on Line, Yahoo, etc)

 

Additional services

 

         At $30.00 per hour: (I charge only for actual time)  Most small changes usually take less than 15 minutes.  

  • Changes/additions to your finished web site

  • Logo Design

  • Taking pictures for your web site

  • Writing articles, biographies, information pages, statistical charts (usually the information is provide to me through e-mail or word processors)

  • Converting Charts, plats, maps to color

  • Customizing backgrounds, modifying photos, documents, etc

  • Making signs/text slides for web slide shows or for emphasizing ideas

  • Taking pictures - If I take the pictures during initial meeting no charge.

  • Editing pictures

  • Complex interdependent layers (absolute and relative) 

  • Please Understand - Many times I am working on a site and people get excited about new things they saw and want me to make changes.  This is fine and in fact usually fun; however, I will charge for work that has to be changed because you changed your mind.   This includes replacing pictures, charts, text that you gave me but now want to alter.
  • If you already have a URL and a web server that you want to keep, I will create the web site on my server and then forward your address to my server.    If this is not acceptable we can make other arrangements

              

Standardized Pages, Add On Pages, and link pages (picture or URL) cost $15.00 they are pages that can be used in multiple web sites, can by added from add on services, or are detail pictures linked from other pages.       A picture link page is a picture page with small pictures, when you click on the picture it takes you to another page with a larger picture.

 

 

Pricing for ASPX - (Self Changing Sites)

 

With this type of page you have a login and password in one of your pages which takes you to tables in which you can change what is written on other pages.  That way you can change items in your site yourself.   This is good for announcements, menus, newsletters, etc.

 

Cost for ASPX pages starts at $90.00 per page, but will allow you to make changes yourself.  These sites can get quite complex and price will vary depending upon on what you need.

 

 

 

 

Wedding Site Prices

 

Sample site  www.indy-wedding-websites.com     These sites are $50.00 a page and $100.00 per year hosting/setup .   Additional pages can be added on whenever you want.   This includes regular pictures and slideshows.  .Wedding sites can be easily converted into family sites as time passes.

 

Videos are more complicated I don't even suggest using them if you are not connected to the internet with a fast connection (usually a cable connection).    Video download time is an issue so videos can not be to long in length (Unless you use steaming which is something we would need to discuss in person).  

 

One video the length of  http://www.indy-wedding-websites.com/Video.htm  will run $80.00.  That includes scanning pictures, minor editing, audio and making the video.  (You can include your own audio (with copyright restrictions)  If you tape your vows, singing, musicians, and background noise, I can include it (with professional musicians' permission).   You can include as many videos as you want in a site.   The sound quality is only as good as what you record.  I have rights to some music that you can use on your site.  If you don't have a cable connection and must have a video, I can divide the standard sized video into two smaller video's for the same price.

 

If you would like a DVD of the Videos (all on one DVD) it costs  $40.00 for two non-copyrighted DVD.  You will get 2+R and 2 -R's  for that price.   Copies are $10.00 but you are free to copy them yourself for nothing.

 

 

Pictures -

I have access to millions of good quality pictures.  I have to purchase those pictures for web sites.  I can give you access to those pictures so you can choose from them.  Because of copyright laws, I cannot make a profit on those pictures so I will charge you what they cost me.      Taking pictures - If I take the pictures during initial meeting no charge otherwise $30.00 an hour.

Virtual tour prices see below.   I can take the pictures for the virtual tour for $30.00 per hour.   I will put the pictures on LBAR for you from these pictures at no additional cost.

Virtual Tours

With the addition of each Video  (Example:  "Virtual Tours"  ) there is a $80 per tour cost.   You can provide the pictures and I will make the tour, or I can take the pictures at $40.00 per hour.  If I take the pictures  I can include stitched pictures (taken from a tripod and pictures merged together to make wide panorama).     Examples of the stitched pictures are also on  "Virtual Tours"
